Guangzhou has adjusted the social insurance policy. Starting in July, employees and employers need to pay more for their contributions.
Starting from July 2020, the employer’s minimum base of the social insurance contributions in Guangzhou has increased. The minimum base for basic medical insurance and maternity insurance is adjusted from 5,592 yuan to 6,175 yuan; The minimum base for critical illness insurance is adjusted from 9,320 yuan to 10,292 yuan.
从2020年7月起，广州公司的社保最低缴费基数有所上升。其中，职工社会医疗保险和生育保险的最低缴费基数从5592元上升为6175元，职工重大疾病医疗补助的最低缴费基数从9320元升为10292元。
After adjustment, the employer’s contributions increase by 151.4 yuan, while the employee needs to pay 11.66 yuan more. There might be a slight difference in different sectors and regions.
经调整后，单位缴费部分增加的金额为151.4元，个人缴费部分增加的金额为11.66元。需要注意的是，不同行业和地区，单位缴费比例和个人缴费比例稍微有些不一样哦。

另，中小微企业的社保费可以延缴至今年年底，延缴期间不产生滞纳金。若担心员工的其他权益受到社保延缴的影响，建议还是及时为员工缴纳社保较为稳妥。
