Starting from April 27, passengers in Guangzhou will not be allowed to enter metro station without showing Suikang code or Yuekang code. Temperature check is also needed. Have you got the code yet?
In order to continue efforts to strengthen epidemic prevention and control measures, Guangzhou Metro will implement temperature checks and health code display.
Starting from Monday, April 27, passengers are required to display their personal health QR code (“Suikang” code or “Yuekang” code) and have their temperature checked before entering the station.
Those who meet any of the following conditions will be not allowed to enter and ride the metro in principle:
- Have a red health code
- Have a high body temperature
For those who don’t use smartphones such as the elderly and children, they can let their relatives or companions generate the code and show it when entering, or print it out.

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has also announced similar measures. Passengers who fail to show Suikang code will not be allowed to enter the airport’s public areas such as Terminal 1, Terminal 2, hotels, urban terminals.
We recommend you use Suikang code since it’s currently available in five languages including Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean and French. And you can use it on the WeChat mini-program “Suikang”.
As of April 16, the number of expat holders of the Suikang code has reached 23,657 in Guangzhou.
△ Community workers assisted expats to get Suikang code
The code has been used to manage and verify entries of both locals and expats alike in the city, all of whom are required to apply for one. Entrants with a green code or blue code can access residential communities and public places, while people with a red code will be denied access.
