Beijing strengthens control of the epidemic on inbound passengers starting on March 11:
1. People entering or returning to China through Beijing from countries severely hit by the novel coronavirus outbreak, including South Korea, Italy, Iran and Japan, should be isolated at home or placed under quarantine for 14 days.
2. People entering China through the capital from countries that don’t have a severe epidemic situation should also isolate themselves for 14 days at home or designated place starting on Tuesday.
3. Those who entered Beijing from overseas for a short stay related to business should stay at designated local hotels and receive nucleic acid tests. They are not allowed to leave their hotels if no test results are available.
4. Some outbound passengers who chose not to stay in the capital but transferred through Capital International Airport or Daxing International Airport in Beijing will receive health monitoring.

Hainan has recently compiled a series of regulations, clarifying that the visitors to Hainan from severely affected countries/regions are required to be in centralized quarantine for 14-day medical observation.
For the inbound visitors who have been to South Korea, Italy, Japan, Iran and other countries severely affected by COVID-19 within 14 days, the port customs will notify the local municipal or prefectural headquarters, which then will be responsible for transferring them to the designated places for centralized quarantine and medical observation.
The government on Tuesday issued a Red Outbound Travel Alert to more countries covering Bourgogne-Franche-Comte and Grand Est of France, North Rhine-Westphalia of Germany, Hokkaido of Japan, Spain’s La Rioja, Madrid and Pais Vasco, and the whole country of Italy.

All arrivals that have been to places above in the last 14 days should stay in quarantine facilities for 14 days – beginning March 14. The same quarantine measures announced earlier for people who have been to South Korea and Iran in the past 14 days remain unchanged.
The health authority again advised the public to consider delaying all non-essential travel outside Hong Kong, as the transmission of the novel coronavirus has been increasing around the world.
Macau has added four more countries – Japan, Germany, France and Spain – to its list of “high-prevalence” countries for COVID-19, with all arrivals who have visited any of the four in the past two weeks required to enter quarantine for 14 days as of midday on Tuesday 10 March.
Those arriving in the meantime will be required to undergo a six to eight-hour medical observation upon arrival.
The addition of Japan, Germany, France and Spain takes the total number of nations to have quarantine restrictions placed on them by Macau to seven, joining South Korea, Italy and Iran.
