In order to further upgrade Shenzhen’s business environment, improve the attraction and mobility of foreign talent into the country, Shenzhen announced two new measures to facilitate entry-exit services.
The measures include:

Facilitate visa application process

Shorten application processing time

Applicants will no longer need to come back to the bureau to collect their application when ready once they have submitted it. Relevant applications include:

Chinese visa
-
Entry-exit permit
-
5-year mainland travel permit for Taiwan resident
-
Single-entry travel permit for Taiwan resident
-
Household registration notice
-
Cancellation of household registration
Their new visa or other documents will be mailed directly to the address they provided, thereby making the application process a lot more convenient.

Processing time for 17 types of visa applications and 2 types of residence permit applications has been shortened from 7 working days to 5 working days.
17 types of visa applications include:
-
Extension of the R visa, L, G, F, Q2, M, J2, S2, X2, and C
-
Renewal of the X2 visa, R, F, J2, M, Q2, and S2
2 types of residence permit applications include:
-
First-time applications
-
Renewal of an existing permit
Besides, processing time for permanent residence permits has been reduced from 3 months down to 2 months.
As China plans to further open up, there are more and more good policies friendly to foreigners. Similar measures will be implemented in more and more cities.
