Each time when expats enter China, you can’t bring more than 20,000 RMB and foreign currency of more than 5,000 USD.
If you bring the USD cash that more than 5,000 but less than 10,000 USD, you will need to bring the Permit for Taking Currency out of Customs Territory with the seal of specific bank.
If you bring more than 10,000 USD cash with you, you will need to bring the Permit with the seal of the Foreign Exchange Office.

The amount of luxury goods you bring to China such as cosmetics and watch should be reasonable and conform to the standard of personal use.

Tourist can bring one Companion Dog or Cat to China, the Customs Department will inspect Quarantine Permit and Rabies Immunization Certificate after receiving the declaration, and then the Port Animal and Plant Quarantine Office will take 30 days quarantine about your pat.

Each person can bring no more than 31.25g of gold accessories, 312.5g of silver accessories and 625g of silver vessels.
